Hi there! I'm Martijn, and I live in the Netherlands. I'm currently a student of Software Engineering at the University of Amsterdam. During my study, I reignited an old hobby of mine: game development. Since then, I've been diving into game design as much as I can, gaining a lot of expertise in Unity and C#. This journey has led to several completed projects that I'm really proud of.

RTS Game

Raider of Realms [WIP]

Raider of Realms is a 2D real-time strategy game played on a hexagonal grid. Begin your adventure with a few tiles under your control and gather valuable resources to grow your kingdom. Build units, develop an army, and strategically conquer new tiles to expand your empire.

Zombie Horde: Pixel Defence

This is a call of duty inspired zombie game, where you can fight zombies to survive. Earn points by killing zombies to buy different weapons to deal damage en collect perks to become stronger. Unlock different rooms to discover new weapons and perks. How long can you survive?

Alien Snake Attack

For an 8 week school project, this game Alien Snake Attack was made. It's a thrilling action game where players control a snake-like alien creature, navigating through levels filled with obstacles and enemies.

  • 9 unique levels

Timber

In this game, made for the GMTK game jam 2023, about lumberjacks you are not supposed to cut the trees. You play as the forest where you can select a tree and shoot a acorn with it that plants a new tree. Plant as many trees as you can and safe the forest before the lumberjacks cut them all down again.

About Me

Hi there! I'm Martijn, and I live in the Netherlands. I'm currently a student at the University of Amsterdam, where I recently completed my studies in Physics and Astronomy. Along the way, I discovered a new passion through a minor in programming. I enjoyed it so much that I've decided to pursue a master's in Software Engineering.

Game development allows me to combine my love for problem-solving with my creative side. Each project has been a unique adventure, teaching me new techniques and challenging me to improve.
